I give up...

Maurizio

Guys i think i have lost the grip, i lost my motivation, the passion in Sea Kayaking. It seems incredible even to me! I had been really fond of this sport, i spent a quite big amount of money buying all the kit i have always dremt about, but now i don't feel any joy using it. When i was yunger i had a scrap of a kayak, an old wooden blade (of course of the wrong size) and a really a few pieces of a normal kit. But i really had a great time paddling! Nowerdays everything is different, i have no more the same feelings when i paddle and is for this reason that i think i will give up blogging, and probably paddling... at least for a while.
I would like to thank all of you that showed so much interest for this blog in the past years.
Bye!
Maurizio

Anglesey Adventure /2

Abbiamo incontrato, conosciuto e avuto come insegnanti grandi maestri molto noti e abbiamo imparato tantissime cose insieme agli altri 150 partecipanti...
Abbiamo sostenuto e superato l'esame 3StarBCU

We have departed full of enthusiasm and we have returned full of speep!
Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium, perfectly organized by Nigle Dennis & Co., is one of the most important meetings for english and european kayakers: there were people from everywhere!
We have met a lot of great paddlers and we have learned so much with the other 150 participants!
We have taken 3StarAssessment and 4StarTraining with Jenn Cleck.
We also have achieved the "Canoe&Safety Rescue" and the "Coastal Navigation" courses...
We have had just a half-day to visit the island and the city of Holyhead, before to start with our last course: Tidal Races with Justine Curgenven...
The long trip in camper (3.400 km) has been another beautiful adventure!
An unforgettable experience that we hope to share with some other kayakers!!!

Anglesey Adventure

p.s. Andrea ha fatto shopping. Guardate bene la foto ;)

Finally we can write on the blog, between a lesson and a cold shower!
Saturday, after 23 hours non-stop drive to get here, we got the welcome with a session of "Incident Management", which ended with a spectacular landing on the rocks, where the kayak of Maurizio has left 3 fingers of gelcoat.
Sunday we take the "Canoe Safety and Rescue", with 3 different types of craft. To notice he rescue of a Canoe from a whitewater boat, for the happiness of Tatiana which is now full of bruises!
Monday we can rest? Of course not! It seems to be on Army! We take the BCU 3 star assessment, with sea condition around 4 and surfing on the waves: D
Today we started the 4 stars training, with rescues and rolling into a quite rough sea.
In the evening homeworks: planning a trip, taking count of all the factors of risk and security, with an accordion that plays here in the common room of the center.

p.s. Andrea has made shopping ;)
