Cpt. Perlini

Il "Perlini" (al secolo il Dott. Pietro Dellamaria) è stato il mio primo e storico "socio" di Kayak. Abbiamo condiviso i primi indelebili passi verso un modo di andare in kayak più serio e consapevole. Indimenticabili i primi eschimi e il primo storico giro del Lario! All'epoca una vera e propria epopea!

Il Nostro è un pagaiatore fine e molto tecnico, amante delle acque piatte e delle medie TERRIFICANTI! Le sue andature disumane hanno dato origine a termini come "media Perliniana", "andatura Perliniana" oppure "lago Perliniano". Le prime indicano medie o velocità abbastanza inquietanti e disumane per il pagaiatore umano (si parla di medie superiori ai 4.2 nodi con punte superiori ai 5!!!) mentre la seconda indica un lago a specchio, ideale appunto per i maniaci della velocità e del gesto atletico.

Ultimamente Capitan Perlini è giustamente preso da impegni ben più seri che lo sterile pagaiare, essendo alle prese con due bellissime (e vivacissime!) bimbe di 3 e 2 anni. Spero comunque che ritrovi presto il tempo per riunirsi alla compagnia ritornare a farci morire con le sue andature disumane.

Nota: la foto in alto ritrae chi vi scrive e Il Nostro in una serissima disquisizione accademica sulla natura del liquido di colore rosso contenuto nei calici in primo piano. Se a qualcuno dovesse accidentalmente sorgere qualche dubbio sulla natura dei nostri copricapi, sappiate che si! Sono mutande!

Captain Perlini (also known as Mr. Pietro Dellamaria) is a great friend and a fine kayaker. With him a shared my first real steps in a more serious way to do Sea Kayaking, most of all the first rolls and the first trip around Lake Como, thinking back to it now it looked to as like a great journey! A real adventure! The second photo has been taken at our arrival in Como, after the four days paddle.

The Captain is also known for his outstaning paddle technique, that pushes him at speeds rarely reached by normal people ;-). This way of paddling has created some new abjectives, like a Perlinian peace or a Perlinian speed ;-)).

However in the last few years our Captain is dealing with some more serious business than Sea Kayaking. His two little sons are draining his free time as all the children do, however i hope to see him paddle again soon ;-).

Note: the first photo has been taken during an important and very philosopical discussion about the true nature of the red liquid in our glasses. If anyone of you is wandering about our headgear i have to tell you that yes: they are panties!
